99¢ Travelogue

Directed by Molly Schwartz

A 99 second animated video travelogue gliding through a conveyor-belt-animated, eerily compressed world built of plastic animals, construction paper drawings, erasers forests, and brightly colored synthetics from the densely crowded 99¢ store landscape.

After You Leave

Directed by Molly Schwartz

We thought the conflict of the neighborhood existed in the realm of construction, rent increases and population explosion, but there is another offensive underway…the mute struggle of the linden, ash, gingko and plane tree. This project documents a silent war, the War of the Trees. Here we see the trees’ stoic refusal to submit to the dominating infrastructure- aggressive constriction and unremitting subjugation by the sidewalks, fences, buildings, and decorative borders in this arboreal battle zone.

Birth

Directed by Signe Baumane

Amina, a young seventeen year old woman, is pregnant and afraid to give birth. Seeking advice, she goes to older women but their stories scare her even more.

Huck on the Gowanus

Directed by Christina Kelly

In this hand-drawn animation a little boy named Huck and his dog Ginger float through the history of the Gowanus Canal and back again.

MGMT: Kids –Dir. Ray Tintori

Directed by Christy Karacas

A baby boy is lost in a terrifying world of monsters.

Animal Collective’s In the Flowers

Directed by Abigail Portner

In the Flowers is a music video off of Animal Collective’s most recent record, Merriweather Post Pavilion. Like their music, it is a collage of animation, drawings and 8mm film. Everyone needs to escape sometimes either inside their head or out into nature. This video is a stream of images and ideas about escaping and then returning, always excited to be home.

The Bravery: Slow Poison

Directed by Ryan Honey & Orion Tai

What happens when the Universe is revealed to you in a single moment, filling you with love, hope, fear, despair, longing, and complete joy? When the full range of human emotion is conveyed, then gone just as quickly…

Yeasayer’s Wait For the Summer

Directed by Mixtape Club

Inspired by Yeasayer’s polyphonic harmony and tribal sound, this video follows migrating beetles, cosmic apple orbits, and primal spirits through the cycles of the planets and seasons.

Looking Thru the B-Sides

Directed by Golden Lucky

Looking Thru the B-Sides follows the adventures of a skater named “Ollie” as he takes off on a quest to find his lost skateboard. What starts off as a casual trip to the skate park turns into a wild trip down the rabbit hole, ending up in a way that Alice in Wonderland could never imagine.
