La Dama y La Muerte

Directed by Javier Recio Gracia

A sweet old lady lives alone on her farm, waiting for death to arrive so that she can meet up with her beloved husband again. One night, while sleeping, her life fades out and she is invited to cross death’s door. But just as she is about to do so, the old lady wakes up on a hospital ward: an arrogant doctor has brought her back to life.

A Family Portrait

Directed by Joseph Pierce

A family portrait goes horribly wrong as jealously and suspicion bubble to the surface under the photographer’s relentless gaze. As the session reaches a disturbing conclusion, it’s clear that this truly will be a day to remember.

Prayers For Peace

Directed by Dustin Grella

Prayers for Peace is a narrative stop-motion animation confronting the memory of the artist’s younger brother killed in the last conflict in Iraq.

Yellow Cake

Directed by Nick Cross

A lamentable tragedy mixed full of pleasant mirth. A parable on escalation and terror, the film tells the tale of a small town of happy little bakers driven to violence by the greed of their leader and cake-hungry fat cats, resulting in the town’s ultimate destruction.

Variété / Variety

Directed by Roelof van den Bergh

A plate spinning act pictures our modern lives; deceptively simple as we start, but as we grow older the demands on our attention increase. Choreographed to invigoration music, the variety act rushes towards the inevitable. Yet, there are even harder acts to follow …

Krokodill / Crocodile

Directed by Kaspar Jancis

A former opera star is doomed to work as a crocodile in a costume to entertain children at a mall. This kind of life seems joyless and even disgusting to the former tenor so he vents his frustration in rude behaviour. Until one day a fateful woman comes into his life and … a crocodile.

Txt Island

Directed by Chris Gavin

A typographic tale. A small army of „text men“ land on remote tropical island and establish a base camp. The next day reinforcements arrive. With ruthless efficiency, the men plunder the island’s natural resources and begin to construct a new kind of paradise.

Horn Dog

Directed by Bill Plympton

"Horn Dog“ is the fourth film in the famous Oscar nominated "dog“ series. Here are more misadventures from our plucky canine, as he fends off an obese dog, attacking oysters, and a wayward killer violin bow, while trying to win the love of his heart’s desire.

Sam’s Hot Dogs

Directed by David López Retamero

Sam lives a relaxed life selling hot dogs in a road that crosses the forest. His hot dog van, his big bear and a bit of company once in a while is all he needs.

Run Away

Directed by Cordell Barker

Happy passengers are having a great time on a crowded train, oblivious to the unknown fate that awaits them around the bend. The ensuing crisis leads to a class struggle that is amusing as it is merciless. Naturally there are victims, but in the end everyone is equal.
